Let me start with what actually matters. I drive a 2019 Ford Raptor. And I do not just run the trails around Arizona, though I do plenty of that. I run month long expeditions across the country. Most notably, thirty days off road along the Continental Divide, Mexico to Canada (as close as you can get in an off road vehicle anyways). So when I say I build for the off road community, understand that I am in it. On purpose. Most weekends.
Here is the thing about clubs. The people who run them are volunteers. They did not sign up to be an accountant, a webmaster, and a newsletter editor. But that is the job. Dues. Waivers. Events. The quiet paperwork that eats a Saturday. I built TrailConvoy to take all of it off their plate. Run the club. A real website, live in minutes. The back office handled, so the weekend goes back to the trail. That is the entire pitch.
And it works. Our founding clubs are saving hours a week on member management alone. The monthly newsletter, the thing everyone dreaded, now takes minutes. Members are volunteering to write trip reports, because it is easy and, weirdly, fun. Trips are up, because planning one stopped being a chore. New members are up, because a club finally shows up on Google, looks legit, and signs you up in seconds. That is not my marketing talking. These are happening right now in our founding clubs.
Do I know what I am doing? Yes. Two chapters. I founded three companies and sold all three, starting in 2000 with one of the first build your own website tools, back before website builders were a thing. Then a decade on the platform teams at Meta, Amazon, and Stripe. High availability social networks. Developer platforms. Data at a scale most people never touch. Lately, AI agents that take software migrations from years to months. When a project was stuck in the last and hardest mile, the part where most teams quit, I was the phone call.
